A Gallery Wall For Commitment-Phobes

Capiz-7.jpg

I am not a commitment-phobe in most aspects of my life. I’ve been with my husband for over 15 years, I have furniture that I’ve lived with my entire life, and I tend to be pretty decisive about the clothes that I buy. But there’s something final about drilling holes in the wall that gives me anxiety. My art collection is a random assortment of frames leaning on the floor, propped on furniture, and tucked away in closets, and it sometimes takes me years - YEARS - to hang things on the wall, if I get around to it at all.

Enter: The Gallery Ledge

In the loft, my husband installed a series of IKEA gallery ledges, three rows with two ledges on each row, that allowed me to arrange and rearrange my art collection to my heart's content. Consider it the art version of shelf styling, but without the commitment normal gallery walls require.
